My Little Polonia Dress!

Introducing the wonderful Polonia Dress by Ronny Kobo, which I received from Shop the Far Out for THIS painting!

I am in love!!! It fits soooo well and is so comfortable! It is also by far the best twirling dress I own. This may prove difficult as I make my way through the day, as I will just want to spin all the time. Its so subtle yet a perfect match with statement pieces or bold accessories.

A big thank you to Geraldine from Shop the Far out for a perfect transaction:)

5 Dresses in 2 days. A Feat with many Feet

Thanks to my wonderfully talented sister Hilary, and her big win as the 2011 H&M MMVA fashion blogger, my closet become a little fuller this past weekend. With $250 dollars cash to spend on WHATEVER I wanted ( it was also payday so I did not feel guilty IN THE least) I found 5 adorably cute and wonderfully amazing dresses that normally I may not have splurged on. I mean the most expensive one was only $60 and that's hardly a lot for a beauty dress...so you might say I used my gift thriftly and wisely.

Zara seemed to be a hot spot and I snagged 2 dresses ( one black one red.) as well as a pair of red sailor inspired pants from Zara girls ( I love being short for this reason only).

At Forever 21 ( which is a hit or miss from season to season) was a HIT and I purchased a cat patterned dress and this lovellllly lace dress pictured below. How this was only $27.00, I don't know. All I know is that is has a peter pan collar and it's mine. Twill post the others in time as they are worn. It is the season of dresses.

Cotton Candy: Scene 1 , Act 1

I decided after a long day working on graphics at work and making over 30 loots bags for an upcoming party, I would whip out my paint brush at approx. 1130pm and start painting. I don't know how to gauge these urges, they just come about. What I have come to learn as that when they do surface, to follow through.

Anyhoo, I decided that to round up my food people series I would finish off with the prettiest and yummiest of them all...cotton candy. With my strong love and admiration for this particular treat I'm surprised I hadn't attempted it before.

So here is the VERY beginnings of my painting. Lots more to do, but decided to share the process. I took a really quick pic under very orange lighting, so ignore the 70's chesterfield feeling.

*OH YES, and in very spectacular and exciting news, my sister Hilary has WON the 2011 H&M fashion blogger for the MMVA's. She is currently set up in a hotel, downtown Toronto picking out her outfit for her interview with Fefe Dobson tomorrow with a $1000 H&M gift certificate and $500 spending money in her hand. Oh and she has graciously given me $250 to spend on whatever I want...needless to say We'll be shopping. Check out her highlights and profile page on Much Music HERE! You can also check out her wondy little lifestyle/fashion blog called Girl About Towns. Yippee for Hilly!
